Distortion/Noise and Kinds of Noise
Distortion occurs when information is transmitted by one or more persons because each person’s interpretation of a message is different. Noise is a sound, unwanted signal or disturbance, or any other bit of information that increases uncertainty for the people involved. Together, whenever noise is introduced, the transmission messages to the receiver become distorted (Lawrence Heath, 2000).
